Clips is available as a free download for personal use on Windows. Some features (removing the watermark, native-resolution recording, MP4 download) require a one-time Clips Plus purchase, and the Creator Dashboard's earnings/payout view requires an active Creator Plan subscription — see "Purchases & billing" below. You may not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the installer or application binaries. Use of the software is at your own risk.
All payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in USD.
Clips Plus is a one-time $9.99 purchase that unlocks a license key, valid on up to 3 computers at a time (contact support to transfer a seat). It does not expire and does not auto-renew.
Creator Plan ($4.99/month or $39.99/year) is a recurring subscription that requires an active Clips Plus license. It renews automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime from the Creator Dashboard's billing management link — your membership stays active through the end of the period you already paid for, and it will not renew after that.
If you're not happy with Clips Plus, email hello@getclips.io within 30 days of your purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. The same 30-day guarantee applies to your first Creator Plan payment if you decide it's not for you. Refunds are issued back to your original payment method; a refunded Clips Plus license is deactivated on all machines, and a refunded Creator Plan subscription is canceled immediately.
Outside the 30-day window, Creator Plan payments are non-refundable for the period already billed — you can still cancel at any time to stop future renewals.
Sharing a clip to vyuu.com may generate affiliate commission if a viewer clicks the Partner Offer shown on that clip's page. These earnings can only be viewed and paid out while you have an active Creator Plan subscription. Earnings recorded during any period when your Creator Plan subscription is not active — including before you ever subscribe, or after a subscription lapses or is canceled — are permanently forfeited and cannot be claimed or backdated once membership resumes.
Payouts are made manually via PayPal to the email address you provide in the Creator Dashboard. We are not responsible for payouts sent to an incorrect PayPal email you entered. Impact.com, our affiliate network partner, determines whether a given click results in a paid, pending, or reversed commission (e.g. for returns or fraud) — we pass through their determination and cannot override it.
You are solely responsible for the content you capture, save, and share using Clips. Do not record or share content you do not have the right to record — including copyrighted game footage where prohibited, private communications, or content belonging to others without permission. Content shared to vyuu.com is also subject to vyuu.com's own terms of service.
Keep your Clips Plus license key confidential — anyone with it can activate it on their own machine, up to the activation limit. If you lose your key, you can request it be resent to your purchase email from the license recovery page. We reserve the right to revoke a license key involved in fraud, chargebacks, or abuse of the activation limit.
Clips is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about uptime, data retention, or fitness for any particular purpose. We are not liable for any loss of data or clips resulting from software bugs, hardware failures, or third-party service outages (including vyuu.com, Stripe, or PayPal).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Clips or getclips.io is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of Clips or getclips.io after a change means you accept the updated terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
